Cavities in a gossan matrix have yellow to dark brown small (<1mm) cubic Beudantite crystals, sometimes with pale green microcrystalline Scorodite. Veinlets of granular massive yellow Beudantite also run through the goethite rich gossan. The Wanthwaite Mine was first mentioned in the late nineteenth century as a Stibnite location but since then has been blighted by fraudent claims made by Arthur Kingsbury, casting doubt on the minerals to be found from here. These specimens confirm the presence of Beudantite and Scorodite. There are 3 specimens available of the same size and quality as that of the one photographed.
