An interesting mixture of microcrystalline yellow to brown cubic Beudantite, red-brown Carminite and pale green Scorodite in a Quartz matrix. The mixture makes up a large proportion of the specimen but please note the Carminite is difficult to spot even under magnification. The Howthwaite Stone trial is no more than 2 small pits close to the eastern end of the Sandbeds East Baryte Mine and only discovered shortly before the current collecting restrictions came into force. There are 3 specimens available all of the same size and quality, so only 1 has been photographed.
